![]() During this dark time of year, look no further than Veterans Memorial Park on Dorset Street in South Burlington for a spark of light. 🌟 NorthCountry and the city’s Department of Recreation and Parks have worked together to launch Spark the Park, a new year-end outdoor light display that is free and open to all.
This year’s display features a giant gingerbread house at the end of a magically lit path, inspired by the movie “Elf”. People can remain in their cars, or enjoy a walk while respecting safety protocols such as wearing masks and staying at least six feet apart. Spark the Park will be ready for viewing in mid-December and remain open until early January. “This year has been difficult for so many. It’s the perfect time to begin a new tradition that sparks hope, joy, and imagination,” said Julie Longfellow, NorthCountry’s Director of Creative & Branding. “We hope people will come back every year to see what’s new, and leave feeling happy and inspired.” Spark the Park 2020 started Saturday, 12/19/2020, and can be viewed daily from sunset to 9:00pm. The light display will remain open through early January.
